MOD K2
Imesa MOD K2 multi-layer laminating machine, is a cutting-edge model from the Imesa K Series calanders, useful to simplify complexed converting process.
Thanks to a multiple laminating station, it allows one-step multilayer lamination, liner replacement, combined cutting, trimming or rewinding into rolls.
Imesa machine MOD K2 is available with standard heating system (with I.R. lamp, adjustable to 80°C-90°C/27°F-32°F) or with diathermic oil heating system (with thermal hot oil heaters, up to 220°C/104°F) to facilitate the glue application during the materials converting process.
This multi-layer calander can laminate flexible materials, in general on one side or both with transfer, PSA or thermo-adhesives.
MOD K2 is a customizable multi layers laminator so it can be a configured with liner removers, unwinders and winders, internal or external, for any kind of processing.
Imesa Mod. K2 can be equipped for example by the following systems:
- slit shear with longitudinal razor or crush cutting system;
- Flying cut or cross cutting system with motorised transversal blade;
- Scraps removal systems;
- Automatic material output system;
- Winders featuring independent clutch system.
Possible multilayer laminations working modes: Roll-to-Roll, Roll-to-Sheet, Sheet-to-Sheet, Sheet-to-Roll.
- Double laminator station with heatable calender rollers and integrated cutting system
- Electronically controlled speed up to 20 m/min.
- Roller temperature heated to 90° C or 230° C
- Available for material widths from 1600 mm to 2100 mm
- Calender to convey the material (Puller)
- Material pulled between the two calender heads by a conveyor belt
Customisable to customer specification with the following devices:
- Slit shear razor blade cut or crush cutting system
- Cross cutting with motorised blade or “flying cut”
- Air expanding shafts (Ø 50-153mm 2-6”), also available with independent clutch system
- Cantilever air expanding shaft or other, depending on materials and applications
- Liner Remover
- Banana roller for smoothing the material during rewinding
- Splicing devices
- Scraps removal device
- Input systems using table, roller conveyor, conveyor belt or “pick and place” system
- Material output using table, roller conveyor, conveyor belt or automatic “pick and place” system
- External winders and unwinders managed by PLC
- Automatic material alignment systems using contactless sensors
- Speed and tension control managed by PLC
